Be interested in community health, health education and health training.
Be excited about communicating with others and sharing information.

AmeriCorps and the CDC joined forces to launch a transformational national service opportunity through the creation of Public Health AmeriCorps; funding AmeriCorps members supporting COVID-19 recovery, strengthening our nation’s resilience, and investing in the next public health workforce.

As a part of the newly launched Public Health AmeriCorps Partnership between the CDC and The Corporation for National and Community Service, We The People Community Health Worker Corps (WTP-CHWC) in partnership with Damien Ministries will recruit, train and deploy 16 AmeriCorps members as Certified Community Health Workers serving in the National Capital area supporting the Washington, DC Emergency Management Area (EMA) covering DC, MD, VA, and WV.
