We the people community health worker corps is a national service program modeled off of the federal government funded AmeriCorps Program, that engages young adults, seniors, retirees and allies in a stipend volunteer experience as Community Health Workers in their local communities.

Jeffrey DeShawn Richardson

We The People Community Health Worker Corps is the vision of AmeriCorps Alum and former Executive Director of the Washington, DC State Commission for National and Community Service, Jeffrey DeShawn Richardson.

As an advocate for national service Jeffrey DeShawn Richardson is passionate believer in the power of the people closest to any problem always being the best people positioned to lead in solving those problems. We The People Community Health Corps builds off an evaluated national service community health worker certified peer educator framework that strengthens the capacity of those most impacted by pressing community problems to successfully lead in solving those problems.
