How We LEAP
Leveraging Damien Ministries’ recognized client services case-management system, Damien Ministries will serve as an access point for volunteer and apprenticeship workforce development opportunities in the National Capital Area.
Clients will be enrolled in Damien Ministries Case Management services and assessed across three primary domains: health, self-sufficiency, education and training. Upon assessment, clients interested in apprenticeship and workforce development opportunities will be referred for enrollment in one of Damien Ministries training programs.
Damien Ministries currently offers certifications and training in the following programs:
Community Health Worker Certification: La Maison
Culinary Arts and Hospitality Services: Amala Lives Institute
Entrepreneurship: Enspired Muse Coaching and Management
The Program
LEAP Fellows receive interactive training on leadership, problem solving and organizational effectiveness.
LEAP Fellows receive career-development training.
LEAP Fellows are eligible for stipend volunteer and apprenticeship opportunities.
LEAP Fellows receive one year of mentoring and professional coaching.
