We The People

Community Health Worker Corps

We empower and mobilize communities by engaging young adults, seniors and retiree’s in a stipend volunteer experience as Community Health Workers. Through skilled volunteerism we are increasing equal access to health information and community health services. See how we empower through service.

We The People Community Health Worker Corps builds the leadership capacity of those most impacted by poverty, racism, limited access and a general lack of human respect.

How We Serve

We The People (WTP) Community Health Worker Corps is a national service program modeled off of the federal government funded AmeriCorps Program, that engages young adults, seniors, and retirees in a stipend volunteer experience as Community Health Workers in their local communities.

WTP Community Health Workers are members of their community and allies who have direct experience and knowledge of the issues impacting those most marginalized within their local communities. Learn more.

Who We Are

For many young adults and seniors, specifically those who are poor, black and brown people of color, identify as transgender or gender non-conforming, establishing and maintaining access and connections to pathways for formal education, training and career development continues to be nearly impossible in many communities across our country.
